County offers free alert
notification system for property owners and occupants |
Sarasota County is encouraging
property owners, both year-round and seasonal, to sign up for
the free CodeRED alert notification system. The CodeRED alert
notification system provides alerts to property owners on issues
in their neighborhood, including water/sewer service
interruptions, road closures, Amber Alerts, evacuations and
more.
CodeRED issues an automated phone call to alert registered
property owners and occupants in the event of an incident that
could impact their daily activities.
“The CodeRED system is a valuable communications tool that
allows us to keep property owners and renters informed about
events in their neighborhood,” said Paula Parsons Grubb of
Sarasota County Environmental Utilities.
To sign up for the CodeRED system, visit www.scgov.net and
select the CodeRED system button on the front page. Registration
is free, and Sarasota County does not share the information with
private third-party vendors.
“By registering your contact information, you are ensuring that
you and your family will be notified of events that could impact
your household. Accurate, timely information is the key to
protecting people and property,” said Parsons Grubb.
For more information, contact the Sarasota County Call Center at
941-861-5000 or visit www.scgov.net, keyword search CodeRED.
