Indigent Hospital Cases

Sarasota County receives indigent hospital referral cases from participating county hospitals via a special state ordinance. All approved payments made by the county on behalf of qualified residents are subject to repayment.

Disposition of Unclaimed Bodies

Sarasota County per Florida Statute is legally responsible to cremate or, in special situations, arrange for the interment of all unclaimed bodies referred to the Department of Health and Human Services.
