2-1-1 Database
  • 2-1-1 manages a state of the art database containing over 800 agencies and 2,400 programs. 2-1-1 serves Arcadia, Manatee & Sarasota Counties.

2-1-1 Community Information Network

  • 2-1-1 provides specialized reports to over 35 providers and 17 funding entities. 2-1-1 can help the community by sharing the collected data in order to make better decisions with community resources.

  • Budgeting and educational services, job counseling/employment services through our Goodwill mission Job Connection Offices, providing letters to other financial institutions if our customers need help creating them.

  • The 888-995-HOPE™ hotline has a single mission: to help more homeowners avoid foreclosure. Provided by the Homeownership Preservation Foundation, the Homeowner's HOPE™ Hotline has provided advice and education to more than 300,000 homeowners since 2002.
  • The Foundation is not a mortgage company. We are an independent, third-party resource that has assembled a not-for-profit network dedicated to helping homeowners avoid foreclosure.
  • The help is free.
  • Financial support for the Homeowner's HOPE™ Hotline is provided by the Homeownership Preservation Foundation, a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Prevention Services

  • Prevention counseling is provided 24/7/365 days by phone, in person and chat lines for all services. Referred to other agencies for immediate relief funds for situations such as utility bills, rent, etc.

Foreclosure Services

  • Crisis, credit, debt management, bankruptcy, education and all housing services to include foreclosures and reverse mortgages. Referrals given to other agencies for immediate relief funds.

HOPE NOW is an alliance between counselors, mortgage companies, investors, and other mortgage market participants. This alliance will maximize outreach efforts to homeowners in distress to help them stay in their homes and will create a unified, coordinated plan to reach and help as many homeowners as possible. The members of this alliance recognize that by working together, they will be more effective than by working independently.

  • Maintain and enhance our homebuyer and homeowner assistance programs.
  • Develop and maintain quality owner-occupied and rental housing.
  • Educate our primary and secondary customers regarding the value of Financial Fitness training and Home Management and Maintenance education to low- and moderate-income families in their pursuit of self-sufficiency and wealth.

Relocation Services

  • Works with North Port Social Services and North Port Salvation Army to relocate families that have lost their homes due to foreclosure as renters and homeowners.

Angel Tree Christmas assistance, rent and mortgage assistance (including first month's rent and/or deposit), Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides assistance with utility bills and deposits (electric, gas and water only-no telephone). emergency prescriptions, food, emergency clothing.

Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP) provides assistance with energy shut off notices, rental assistance

  • On rare occasions assist with deposits for relocation within the county.

Jewish Family and Children's Services
Budgeting assistance, case management, financial assistance (utilities, food, rental/mortgage assistance and other support, as required to support family self-sufficiency), resource and referral.

  • Assistance to stay in the home or relocation within the county to continue housing stability if caught in time. Linkage to Gulf Coast Legal Services if necessary. Financial assistance within reason to sustain present housing (utilities, food, rental/mortgage assistance and other support as required to support family self sufficiency), resource and referral.

  • Relocation within the county to continue housing stability. Linkage to Gulf Coast Legal Services if necessary.  Financial assistance within reason to sustain present housing (utilities, food, rental /mortgage assistance and other support, as required, to support family self-sufficiency), resource and referral.
North Port Social Services

Foreclosure Services

  • Assistance with up to three months of mortgage payments not to exceed $1,000 for households with dependents and up to $900 for families without dependents.  Possible 4th month payment with other funding if applicant finds employment after the third month payment. Assistance available due to a recent lay off due to closure and downsizing of employment.
