employees the tools to be proactive. In 2011, our efforts to seek out
the best medical care benefits combined with increased employee
participation in preventative care resulted in reduced monthly medical
insurance premiums for everyone. As stewards of taxpayer dollars, we are
dedicated to containing rising healthcare costs.

Sarasota County Government Employee Health Center provides
pre-employment and occupational health exams and services, free
flu shots for employees and healthy lifestyle coaching to
employees, applicants and retirees. The staff consists of two
registered nurses and an administrative specialist.

Wellness Programs and Incentives |
We
have updated our coverage and lowered our monthly medical
insurance premiums this year! Employees should show their new
Benecard prescription cards at their pharmacies in order to
receive the new benefit. If you are a new employee or have had a
change in status, visit this page for enrollment information.

2011 Wellness Incentive Program allows employees the opportunity
to earn $100 worth of Wellness Cash incentives as well as $250
in Health Plan Reward Credits. Learn how to earn credit toward
your healthcare costs as well as how to access fitness centers,

Assistance program, help with smoking cessation and wellness
forms.
