Household Chemical Collection Centers
Not sure of what to do with the left over chemicals and paint in your garage? Sarasota County invites all of its residents to bring your unwanted chemicals, paint, and electronics to one of the three Household Chemical Collection Centers located throughout the county. Doing this not only helps us protect the environment and water resources but also has immediate personal benefits to you such as improving the look of your home and neighborhood, and improving the quality of your families lives by removing potentially dangerous chemical combinations from garages, cabinets, and underneath sinks.

All that we ask of you to be a participant is that you must live in Sarasota County and your home is the primary residence where the chemicals were used. We ask that if you have waste from a business, non- or not-for-profit organization, community service or other entrepreneurial ventures that you participate in Project Green Sweep for your disposal needs. The disposal costs for participating in Project Green Sweep will afford you the ability to dispose of your materials responsibly while taking advantage of our contracted disposal prices.
