Project Update –
October 2009
The
feasibility report was completed in November 2007. A
neighborhood contact requested that the project be revised with
a smaller dredge footprint. The revisions were completed in
April 2008.
At a May 27,
2008 neighborhood meeting, two proposed dredge footprint designs
and cost estimates were presented to property owners.
Following
that meeting, a Project Unit Approval Petition was mailed to the
24 benefiting property owners. In order for the project to
proceed, 67 percent of the property owners must sign, notarize
and return this petition to the county.
The number
of required petitions is 16. To date, one completed petition has
been submitted. |
