October 2009
At a Sept.
13, 2007, neighborhood meeting, county staff and project
consultants (DMK Associates) presented the proposed dredge
footprint design and cost estimate to property owners.
Following that
meeting, a Project Unit Approval Petition was mailed to the 17
benefiting property owners. In order for the project to
proceed, 67 percent of the property owners must sign, notarize
and return the petition to the county.
The number of required petitions is 11. To date, one petition was received
on Oct. 2, 2007.
