What to do for your trash pickup.

  • Trash bins must be set out at your curb for collection by 6 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day.
  • Place trash within three feet from curb for pickup.
  • Cans must not exceed 40 pounds; must be leakproof and waterproof; trash should not protrude more than one foot above the edge.
  • Bags must be closed and unbroken.
  • Cans, bags, and tied bundles must not exceed four feet in length and must weigh 40 pounds or less.
  • Loose trash will not be picked up.
  • Do not mix garbage, yard waste or recycling in the same container.
  • Place yard waste separately at the curb in a craft or plastic bag that does not exceed 40 pounds and does not protrude more than one foot above the edge.
  • Larger items that cannot be placed in a container should be stacked as neatly as possible at the curb.
  • Items weighing more than 40 pounds require a special pickup. Call your collection provider for further information.

Collection Tips

  • Containers weighing more than 40 pounds will not be picked up.
  • All items must fit in the container with the lid closed.
  • Auto parts are not accepted. Contact a scrap metal dealer or junkyard for disposal.
  • Construction material such as drywall, lumber and tile is limited to four, 32-gallon containers.
  • Do not place household hazardous waste, motor oil, recyclables, needles or yard waste in garbage containers or bags.
