assure that all hazardous building components have been removed
and disposed of properly.
Examples of items that should be
disposed of properly include:
- fluorescent light bulbs
- high intensity discharge
lamps
- thermostats
- mercury-bearing light
switches
- lighting ballasts, batteries
- lead containing components
such as roof vents and flashings
- hazardous materials such as
paints and oil

Landfill Cost
for Construction Materials
- Construction and demolition
material, including concrete, roofing material and lumber,
is pro-rated at $51.99 per ton or $16.00 per cubic yard,
whichever is less.
- Weight documentation charge
at scale house is $5 per document.
- Asbestos will not be
accepted on Saturdays or holidays.

- Waste Shipment Record is
required for each load disposed.
Construction and demolition
material can be disposed of at the Central County Solid Waste
Disposal Center located at 4000 Knights Trail Road, Nokomis,
