The Sarasota County Hazardous Waste Management Office is
responsible for the management of materials collected at their
Chemical Collection Facilities. Additionally, they are
responsible to the State of Florida’s Department of
Environmental Protection for the inspection of commercial
enterprise within the county.
Other programs that fall under the purview of hazardous waste
management include contaminate release clean-up oversight, solid
waste landfill tours, collection of sharps containers, the Re-Uz-It
shop, construction and demolition facility inspections.

generates waste as part of a manufacturing or industrial
process, you might be subject to hazardous waste regulations.
