| How do I apply for a
Firemedic job? |
Sarasota County Government uses a Paperless
Application Tracking System (PATS). If you do not have access to
a computer, come into our Human Resource offices located at 1660
Ringling Boulevard or go to any local library. To access the
system please follow these instructions;
Open your Web Browser

Go to our Applicant Web Site
http://pats.sarasotacounty.org
Type this address into the address line of the web browser and
then press the enter key.
Register as a New User
If you have never used the PATS applicant system, you must
register as a new user. Click on
Apply for Job
New user registration
Then click on Register now for a “User Name & Password”
When registering, your user name must be unique. If you have a
common name such as Laura Smith, you may need to change your
user name to something unique such as Laura Smith5. Once
registered as a user, you will be asked for your actual name.
Please remember your user name and password. Type your user name
and password exactly as when you registered. The password is
case sensitive.
The application is divided into six (6) sections. Each section
is saved once you click on the “Submit Application” button. Each
section must be completed.
There are several ways to complete your application. From the
Left Menu click on “Enter/Update Application,” after selecting a
job you may click on the reminder to complete your application,
or from the main page, click on “Enter/Update Application.”
Complete your application.
Fill in all fields honestly and accurately. Update your
application when information changes (including address, phone
number, employer, education dates).
After completing the first “General” section of your
application, you will be asked to sign your application. You
must sign your application by checking the “signature” box and
then “submit application” button. To complete the other five (5)
sections of your application, click on the “TO DO LIST” at the
top of the screen. After completing each section hit the submit
button at the bottom of the page to send. You will know that
your application is complete when you see the words “Your To Do
List Is Empty” at the top of the screen. OR click “Your
Portfolio” on the left gray menu bar and click on the “TO DO
LIST”. Select and complete each section of your application.
Required Licenses, Certifications or
Documents.
All documents should be faxed or mailed. If you have the ability
to scan a document, it must be in one of the following formats;
PDF, bmp, gif, tif, jpg.
