The Logistics section provides
support services for the Fire Department’s Fire/EMS Operations
sections. We furnish state-of-the-art, cost-effective equipment,
supplies and services that enable the Fire Department to respond
to the needs of our citizens in times of emergency.
Logistics is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance and
repair of the following key items:
- Fire, EMS and support
vehicles
- Fire equipment
- Fire stations and
administrative facilities
- Emergency medical supplies
- Uniforms
- Personal protective
equipment
- Office supplies
- Janitorial supplies
The Logistics section works
closely with other county agencies including Fleet Services,
Operations and Maintenance, Capital Management Services,
Procurement, and Enterprise Information Technology, as well as,
numerous commercial businesses. |
