History:
-
Acquired in 1961.
-
During the mid-1960's, a
land swap was worked out whereby the County and the
private property owner to the south traded parcels.
-
The first improvements to
the beach were made in 1964 as the result of a clean-up
effort to remove dead Australian pines following a
freeze the previous winter.
-
The Parks and Recreation
constructed dunes and walkovers here in 1984.
