The leaders within Sarasota County Government
intend for the organization to become an “employer of choice”
for highly motivated and talented employees and job candidates.
It is the desire of our leaders for employees, job applicants,
other stakeholders, and the public to find the county’s work
culture and environment professional, respectful, supportive
and free of hostile, intimidating and/or offensive acts,
behavior, and comments.
Any job applicant or employee who believes he
or she has been unlawfully discriminated against because of
race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability
or believes he or she has been harassed, is encouraged to bring

and/or allegations such as these may be filed as complaints with
one of the following persons:
- Immediate supervisor of the employee
who allegedly committed the offense.
