Sediment Abatement and stabilization

Professional services contract negotiations under way (Progressive Water Services) for both Lemon Bay and Roberts Bay. Scheduling for BCC approval in July 2009.

Selby Library Remodel, Phase 1 & 2

Purchase Order issued to Totems for $146,295.  Design completion anticipated in Sept. 2009.

Urfer Family Park (a.k.a. Honore Trail Park)

Phase 2 (CB Wilson House) construction contract awarded on 05/26/09. Construction expected to be complete in June 2010. 

Library Technology Surtax III

Contract for AMH systems has been reviewed by Procurement and sent back to the vendor for comments. The RFP Review Team will be meeting shortly to discuss changes with the vendor before sending the contract on to Legal for first review. The Project Manager for the AMH portion is Darlene Frazee. 

Elsie Quirk Remodel

Expected to advertise July 2009.

Work assignment issued to CPH for $109,500. Expected to advertise in Aug. 2009. 

New Englewood Facility Design

Call for Professional Services advertised May 27, 2009. Proposals received June 23, 2009. PSRC to be scheduled.

History Museum/BCC Challenge G

Begin negotiating scope and fee with Greg Hall Architects in July 2009. 

Spoil Island Restoration

May 13, 2009 BCC direction to delay new project starts and reallocate $600,000 ESP dollars to other projects. $500,000 remaining to fund construction of Palmer Point Restoration expected to bid in Fall 2009. Other projects on-hold.

New Siesta Beach Site (Wood)

Closed on property purchase. No additional ESP work required. Funds to be reallocated to other Parks Surtax projects. Project complete.

Street Tree - Tree Canopy Program

Various checkbook projects completed w/ongoing establishment periods (Oxford Drive, Palm Terrace and Oak Terrace), under construction (East Venice, Arterials-Re/Afforestation and Kensington Park), and in design (Fruitville East, Jacaranda roundabout, N Cattlemen, Fruitville-Cob-Deb, Honore, Gold Ave., Gulf Gate, Beneva, Old Miakka and Honore 5). Design and construction authorizations continue through existing continuing services contracts and annual agreements.

Fruitville Road Coburn  Sarasota Center

Phase 1 from Debrecen to east of Tatum bid opening 5/27/09, and construction award is scheduled for July. Phase 2 is scheduled to be advertised the week of 6/22/09. 

Honore Bee Ridge to Fruitville

The contract for preliminary design was awarded May 27th.  60 days duration for this contract.

Blackburn Point Park Addition

Design under way (KHA) with scheduled completion in Dec. 2009.

Sidewalks Bee Ridge/Wilkinson

Sidewalk on the north side of Wilkinson being worked on. Construction is 85% complete.  Contract end date Sept. 13, 2009. 

Sidewalks Gulf Gate

Construction contract was awarded  June 9, 2009. Construction will start on Ashton Road on 6/22/09. Substantial completion by 12/16/09. 

Sidewalks North Sarasota

Final sketches have been completed, and ROW acquisition currently in progress.  SWFWMD permit has been approved. Staking and reappraisal start next month.  To be advertised in Nov.0209

Sidewalks PCSSRP Area D

Sidewalk construction started 4/27/09. Sidewalk on the south side of Webber Street being worked on, from Tanglewood going east. Construction ends April 2010. 

Turtle Beach Renovations

Call needed for design services. Anticipated to go to Procurement in July 2009.

Baywalk at Ken Thompson Park

Design and construction to be bundled in Coastal Facilities unit price contract. Bids under review.  Scheduling contract authorizations at July 7, 2009 BCC meeting.

Blind Pass Beach Restrooms

Specific Authorization to CPH for $207,250 approved on 11/18/08. Design completion anticipated in Dec. 2009.

Fruitville Park Athletic Field

Work assignment issued to Totems for $96,914.  Design completion expected in July 2009.

Manasota Beach Restrooms

BCC approval of Totems contract in the amount of $258,800 for design, permitting and construction administration on 3/17/09. Design completion anticipated Dec. 2009.

South Lido Beach Restrooms

Work assignment issued to Totems for $99,707. Design completion expected in July 2009. Construction to begin in April 2011 when funding is expected to be available.

S. Lido Trails

Design and construction to be bundled in Coastal Facilities unit price contract. Bids under review.  Scheduling contract authorizations at July 7, 2009 BCC meeting.

North Jetty Beach Park restrooms/concession

BCC approval of CPH contract in the amount of $214,643 for design, permitting and construction administration. Public meeting held on June 3, 2009. Construction to begin in April 2011 when funding is expected to be available.

Caspersen Beach Restrooms

BCC approval of Totems contract in the amount of $277,595 for design, permitting and construction administration on 3/17/09. Design completion anticipated in Dec. 2009.

Nokomis Beach Improvements

Work assignment issued to Greg Hall Architects for $52,015. Design completion anticipated for Oct 2009.

Projects complete.
