Traffic Advisory Council
Governing Legislation:
Ordinance No. 2001-065
Purpose: To advise the County Commissioners and make recommendations on matters pertaining to traffic, parking, speed regulations, safety, and the placing of traffic control devices within the unincorporated limits of Sarasota County.
Requirements: A representative of the: - Sheriff's Department
- Florida Highway Patrol
- Six citizens, including one youth representative residing in Sarasota County, who are not employed by the county, town, city or state
Term: Three years
Meetings: Second Monday of each month, 2-4 p.m.
