 Each year, Sarasota County asks citizens about the issues that
are important to them and asks them to evaluate the
effectiveness and efficiency of county government’s performance.
County officials use the results of the Citizens Survey to guide
decisions, plan programs and improve the delivery of services.
Sarasota County is a leader in surveying citizens to give them
an opportunity to express their views. Starting in 1992, the
county has conducted surveys for 17 years. Today, many city and
county governments depend on surveys to get citizen feedback.
